Riverstone is one of the communities participating in the annual CASA Home Tour, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10, with a special candlelight tour 6-9 p.m. Dec. 9.
A Fort Bend holiday tradition, this year’s tour includes six luxurious homes decked out for the holidays. In addition to touring the exclusive homes, tour guests will enjoy festive entertainment by local artists, homemade cookies and hot apple cider. A special tour lunch is available at Sweetwater Country Club for $15. Pay at the door for this treat - no reservations are necessary and you need not be a member of the club to enjoy the tour lunch.
The tour and lunch raise much-needed funds to help Child Advocates of Fort Bend (CAFB) advocate for the needs of abused and neglected children in Fort Bend. Presenting Sponsor for the 2011 Tour is Fred and Mabel R. Parks Foundation. This year’s tour will feature homes in First Colony, Greatwood, Sugar Creek, Riverstone and Sienna Plantation.
Christmas Home Tour tickets are available online at www.cafb.org, The Riverstone Information Center, the Sienna Plantation HomeFinder Center and all Fort Bend County Kroger and Randalls stores. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on tour days. One ticket allows entry into each of the homes during the weekend.
Through its two programs, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), the agency touches the lives of more than 400 young victims each month. For more information, contact Lisa Moore at 281-344-5108.
