How many great bike races can you name? There’s the Tour de France, the Giro d'Italia and the Vuelta a España. What about the “Tour de Fort Bend”? We’re just kidding, but if you are looking for some powerful pedal action, the Brazos Bike Rally will be racing through Riverstone April 20.
Riverstone is a proud sponsor of the annual multi-distance community biking event that raises money for the City of Missouri City Bicycle Mobility and Pedestrian Plan, the City of Missouri City Parks Foundation and Missouri City Green. Sister community Sienna Plantation also is a sponsor.
Designed for leisure riders and cycling enthusiasts, the road race takes riders along scenic routes one of the best places to live in Texas.
Bikers can choose between 25-, 40- and 60-mile rides, with the 25-mile route perfect for the casual rider and the 60-mile ride a challenge for serious cyclists. Children aged 12 and up are welcome to participate in the 25- and 40-mile rides. Children must have the support of an adult and wear safety equipment.
The rides start at 8 a.m. They begin and end at Community Park, 1700 Glenn Lakes Lane, Missouri City, TX 77459. Part of the route winds through our beautiful community. All routes will be supported with rest stops, hydration products, food to fuel the journey and cheerleaders to encourage your effort. The event finishes with music, food and awards to the top finishers.
