MOD Pizza is celebrating its grand opening Saturday, Jan. 5, in the Village at Riverstone and while we can’t wait to build our own pizzas, we are also looking forward to helping MOD fulfill their mission of doing good in the world.
Leading up to every grand opening, MOD celebrates in style — and with heart. For its grand opening, MOD will donate 100 percent of pizza sales to The Arc of Fort Bend County. It’s their way of creating a connection between the MOD Squad and their community. They have something for customers, too — the first 52 customers in line Saturday will receive free pizza or salad. The ribbon-cutting is at 10:30, with the freebies handed out shortly afterward. Spider-Man and Swatson, the mascot of the Sugar Land Skeeters, also will be on hand.
If you’ve never tried MOD pizza, you are in for a treat. The personal-size pizzas and salads are made fresh and super-fast. Choose from more than 30 toppings. The price stays the same no matter what you pick. Build your own or choose from the Classics menu, which features MOD’s top 10 pizza combinations.
Beyond the great food, MOD is a platform for doing good. Founders Scott and Ally Svenson wanted to create a pizza parlor where everyone could get exactly what they wanted, made fresh on demand, for as little as possible. They also wanted to pay their employees as much as possible and given real opportunities for growth. They are mindful of animal ethics, environmental impact, and working with food partners that share our commitment to quality. In other words, they do good for as many people as possible.
Makes plans to come out to the Village at Riverstone this week for pizza with a purpose — a delicious way to satisfy your pizza cravings and help those in need.
