Riverstone residents have an appetite for fresh, locally grown vegetables and luckily, they also have easy access to them.
The fresh produce comes from LOAM Agronomics and some of the preparing and eating happens at the LOAM CSA Quarterly Mixer. This quarter will be a real treat as residents gather at the Newmark Homes model in The Grove 6-8 p.m. Oct. 4 for an evening of wine, hors d'oeuvres and Chef Luis Martinez from Essentials Kitchen.
Chef Martinez will be using LOAM’s most recent CSA box of fresh vegetables to craft top-notch hors d'oeuvres. The appetizers will be paired with the perfect glass of wine. Current LOAM members will go home with great recipes and curious residents will have an opportunity to learn more about the LOAM CSA program and how they can begin receiving their weekly box.
Riverstone partners with the 288-acre Fort Bend farm to offer residents locally sourced, sustainably grown produce delivered to The Club at Riverstone. It’s convenient and delicious!
Non-residents can join the CSA, but only Riverstone residents have the opportunity to attend the quarterly cooking classes.
A "share" in the LOAM Agronomics' CSA costs $30 per week, with recurring payments. Each box contains 8-10 seasonal varieties of nutritious, delicious produce. You will also receive a members-only newsletter telling you what's in your box, current events at the farm, storage techniques, recipes and invites to member events on the farm.
It’s awesome and another reason to make the move to Riverstone. Will you be at our next mixer?
