There’s a new face on the Riverstone team, and we are planning to have a lot of fun with this one. Please welcome Andy Thomas, our new Assistant Director of Fun.
Andy hails from Baton Rouge where he earned a degree in sports management from the University of Louisiana. He will be overseeing all private rentals at The Club at Riverstone, as well as assisting our favorite lifestyle director, Nick Deacon, plan any and all community-related events and activities.
“I want to ensure that when someone comes to an event or private party at Riverstone they leave just as happy — if not happier — than when they arrived,” he says. “I also hope to bring many exciting and new events to this community.
“What attracted me to Riverstone was not just the beautiful homes, but all the great events Riverstone has put on in the past. Also, working with Nick — who is one of the best event planners in Houston — is a great learning experience!”
Andy’s already got a lot of experience bringing the fun. Most recently, he worked in the Special Events department at Constellation Field — home of the Sugar Land Skeeters.
“I helped plan countless events within the stadium, including the Annual Holiday Lights event that attracted more than 25,000 people. My experience in large-scale events will help carry over into many of the activities that we put on here in Riverstone.”
In his free time, Andy enjoys spending time with his beautiful girlfriend and two dogs. They often can be found at the dog park or attending sporting events and concerts. He also is an avid sports fan cheering on the Houston Astros, New Orleans Saints and The University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.
Only a few months into his new job, Andy says he already feels like part of the family.
"I am very excited to begin this new stage in my life and I want to thank everyone for making me feel at home so quickly,” he said. “I look forward to seeing everyone’s smiling faces at the next amazing Riverstone event!"
