It’s another No. 1 ranking for Riverstone, as the Fort Bend community has earned the top spot on a list of Houston’s most active developments published recently by the Houston Business Journal.
The annual tally is based on the number of homes builders started in the community during 2016. Builders started construction on 494 homes in Riverstone last year.
“Even though we had fewer new-home neighborhoods last year, builders weren’t slowing down as demand stayed high to live in Riverstone,” said Trey Reichert, Vice President and General Manager of Riverstone. “People are still drawn by our Sugar Land address, prime location, excellent schools and country club-style amenities.”
Earlier, Riverstone was the highest-ranked Houston-area development on lists of the nation’s 20 top-selling master-planned communities released by two independent research firms. Robert Charles Lesser & Co. listed Riverstone at No. 18 on its national tally and John Burns Real Estate Consulting placed Riverstone at No. 20. Riverstone builders sold 441 new homes last year.
Riverstone has been among the nation’s 20 top-selling communities since 2011.
Riverstone is one of four projects by Johnson Development to rank among Houston’s 10 most active developments. Others included were Woodforest in South Montgomery County, Sienna Plantation in Missouri City and Fulshear’s Cross Creek Ranch.
Eighteen builders offer designs in Riverstone, with prices from the $300,000s to the millions.
