Fort Bend master-planned community Riverstone has hired Solomon Delaney as the community’s new assistant lifestyle director.
The southeast Texas native has been liaising with residents who are planning events at the community’s 8,000-square-foot clubhouse in The Club at Riverstone recreation complex. He also will help Riverstone’s lifestyle director, Nick Deacon, in the planning and execution of an extensive calendar of resident-only events, festivals and community service projects.
“I love it here at Riverstone,” Delaney said. “It's way more than I expected. From the residents to the co-workers, they have all welcomed me with open arms.
“The two things that attracted me to this position were the opportunities for event planning and community development,” Delaney said. “It's something that is second nature to me. It brings joy to me to see people enjoying themselves while meeting others.”
Delaney gained his experience through leadership positions within Stephen F. Austin State University, where he graduated with a degree in business administration, and an internship with Nacogdoches Area United Way. He estimates that he planned more than 200 events during his time at SFA.
