Sullivan Elementary in Riverstone is taking shape, as crews continue work on the 150,576-square-foot campus.
Foundations and paving for parking and driveways have been poured, and structural steel installed in several areas. The school, which is designed for 1,200 students, is scheduled to open August 2016. The first on-site school in Riverstone, it is being built to the exacting standards of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program, which recognizes best-in-class green building strategies and practices.
The school is Fort Bend ISD’s 47th elementary school and the first major project of the 2014 bond program. The district broke ground on the school in July.
