Houston’s most creative mixologists are headed to Riverstone Thursday for the New Amsterdam Vodka On the Rocks Bartenders Challenge, part of the Sugar Land Wine and Food Affair happening Wednesday through Sunday.
The bartenders will be mixing specially crafted vodka cocktails in hopes to win the grand prize of $1,000 and to have their creation named the official cocktail of the 12th Annual Sugar Land Wine & Food Affair. The cocktail will be served at other Wine and Food events, including the Grand Tasting on Friday, the Sip & Stroll Saturday and the Bistro Brunch Sunday.
The public can sample the winning and contending cocktails first, however, during the Bartenders Challenge, 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday at The Club at Riverstone, 18353 University Boulevard. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at http://www.sugarlandwineandfoodaffair.com/events.
