Riverstone splashed into summer with the recent debut of a new 17-acre recreation complex, The Club at Riverstone.
Now open is a resort-style pool anchored by two twisting translucent slides. A zero-entry lagoon lets tots splash at the water’s edge and spray elements keep older children entertained. Also open is the facility’s 8,000-square-foot clubhouse, which includes a state-of-the-art fitness center. Meeting rooms in the clubhouse currently are home base to Kidventure in Riverstone, a summer camp for children ages 6 to 12 that will continue weekly through Aug. 15. The well-appointed clubhouse, which also includes a catering kitchen, will open for rentals next year.
Residents are invited to a grand opening celebration July 5 that includes a steel drum band, games, sweet treats and a dive-in movie.
Other features of The Club at Riverstone open later this summer, including a splash pad, eight lighted tennis courts and a nature-themed playground with play structures, a zip line and rope bridge suspended six feet above ground. Timber steps, rolling hills and a massive oak tree create natural ambiance. A nearby pavilion will let parents relax while watching their children play.
“We wanted to create a facility with country club ambiance, offering residents a multitude of recreational choices in a luxurious setting,” said Trey Reichert, vice president and general manager of Riverstone.
The Club at Riverstone complements other community amenities, including two pools, a bark park, lakes for catch-and-release fishing and neighborhood playgrounds and parks. A lifestyle director maintains a busy calendar of community activities.
