(Sugar Land, TX – May 18, 2013) Amenity-rich Riverstone will have even more to keep residents busy when The Club at Riverstone debuts next year.
Construction on the 17-acre recreation complex begins this year. The facility will include a 9,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center and community rooms, eight tennis courts, a large playground and a splash pad that will be open year-round. Anchoring the facility will be a resort-style pool with water slides and separate lagoons tailored to adults and children. A poolside lounging area will have chaises overlooking one of Riverstone’s many lakes.
“Our aim is to have the facility open by next year’s swim season,” said Tom Wilcox, general manager of Riverstone.
The Club at Riverstone will be located along University Boulevard, a newly opened roadway in the community that links Highway 6 and U.S. 59.
Riverstone residents already enjoy an array of amenities, including two pool complexes, tennis courts, a fishing pier and numerous neighborhood playgrounds. The community also offers something for its four-legged family members, a 3.5-acre bark park that has two leash-free enclosed areas and canine obstacle course equipment.
Keeping residents engaged is an on-site activities director who plans events throughout the year, including festivals hosted in the community and jaunts to local restaurants, Sugar Land Skeeters games and more.
Up next for residents are a “Back to Pool” party and a movie night in one of Riverstone’s community parks. The development also will host a blood drive 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 25 benefiting the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. The drive is open to the public.
