Thanks to a stellar week of new-home sales in early September, Riverstone now reports more than double the number of sales the Fort Bend community had at this time last year.
Builders sold 32 homes in Rivestone the week of Sept. 3.
“We’ve seen impressive sales all year, but 32 home sales in one week definitely sets a record,” said Tom Wilcox, general manager of Riverstone. “We thought 2011 was an unbelievably good year — our best yet — but 2012 has just been phenomenal.”
Sales are currently 104 percent greater than 2011 sales for the same time period.
Wilcox attributes the surge in sales to an improving housing market, Riverstone’s Fort Bend address and the array of 15 product lines by 17 builders in the community. Taylor Morrison has been particularly successful in the community, with 104 sales year-to-date in Avalon at Riverstone. Prices in Riverstone range from the $200,000s to the millions.
Metrostudy ranks Riverstone as the No. 3 community for new home sales in the Houston region. Plus, Riverstone is No. 15 among the top-selling developments in the nation, according to John Burns Real Estate Consulting.
